After successfully completing my Sports and Exercise Science Diploma at college I wanted to further my education in the sports and fitness industry and went to university to study Sports Science and Physical Education.
Throughout my education and employment at Fungi Fitness I have learnt many methods of how to train according to which goals and targets you may have. I personally use this knowledge for my own training. I have worked at Fungi Fitness for nearly 7 years now, and it has been great fun, everybody here is so nice to work with and always about to help.
I am a full time professional athlete and without the education I have gained and without Fungi Fitness it would not be possible to be in the place I am at this current moment in time in my professional career.
There is no goal to far or target to high, the only thing that holds you back is you, I can be the person that enables you to move forward and attain your goals and targets with great fun and professionalism.
I first became interested in fitness and exercise as a hobby and career choice back in the 70’s and haven’t regretted it ever since.
In the mid 70’s I trained in what was called the ‘Three S’s’; Strength, Stamina and Suppleness. By maintaining a healthy lifestyle and exercising regularly to this present day is has helped me remain fit, active and feeling great!
I have experience in teaching basic Yoga, Pilates and Aerobics classes and have used this knowledge to my full extent whilst training clients and helping customers creating a personal fitness plan that works.
I have worked in any establishments that involve sports injury and rehabilitation clinics as a physio assistant.
The training, gym exercises and knowledge that I have used and gained for the past 17 years have enabled me to take part in many Charity Walks from 5k to marathons!
I am currently studying at one of the country’s most prestigious Universities, I have gained a strong wealth of knowledge and invaluable experience in training and exercise. With these strengths I am able to provide comprehensive and dynamic training for all levels and goals. I am also currently part the National GB Triathlon squad which are based in Loughborough.
Fitness and exercise has been and still is a huge part of my life. Ever since I started to compete at national level as a runner I found myself becoming more involved in coaching and training others to be as successful as I am.
As the owner of a highly successful privately owned gym I am always extremely enthusiastic in getting everyone from all walks of life interested and involved in exercise and sports.
Ann Behennah Reck has been practicing yoga since 2006 and completed her YMCA 500 hour CYC yoga teacher training in 2016 at Body Bliss in Leigh-on-Sea. Her interest in yoga deepened after discovering how using yoga and yogic breathing techniques was extremely beneficial during her two pregnancies and deliveries. Ann’s personal yogic practice focuses on the myriad dimensions that yoga unites: muscular development and flexibility; core and pelvic floor strength; endurance; calm and overall mental wellbeing; and ethical behaviour. Her particular teaching areas of interest include the Hot 26 postures from the Ghosh lineage, strong Vinyasa flow classes, Ashtanga yoga, and yoga with weights. Ann truly believes that yoga is for everyone, everywhere, and that the benefits are absolutely limitless.
